Expancel® thermoplastic expanded microspheres
Expancel® microspheres are tiny spherical plastic particles consisting of a polymer shell and a gas that is encased in it. When heated, the internal pressure of the gas increases and the thermoplastic shell becomes soft, resulting in a surprisingly large volume of the microsphere, but the gas remains inside the sphere. Expancel® microspheres are both a foaming agent and a lightweight filler. Expancel® microspheres are a green, environmentally friendly, multi-functional additive that can be added in small amounts to achieve lightweight, change surface quality, improve resilience, anti-shrinkage and other effects.
