On April 25, 2025, Hyosung TNC, the textile industry division of Hyosung Group, has reached a cooperation with Musinsa, the largest fashion retail platform in South Korea, and will promote its eco-friendly fiber material Regen throughout its entire industry.
This cooperation was jointly initiated by Hyosung Tianxi and Musinsa Earth (Musinsa Earth is a fashion brand manufacturing group under Musinsa, which adopts environmentally friendly production methods or materials). The two sides signed the cooperation agreement on April 18th.
According to the cooperation agreement, Hyosung Tianxi will supply Regen fibers to the manufacturer of Musinsa and promote the use of this material to over 300 brands selling on the Musinsa platform.
Hyosung Tianxi stated that the cooperation between the two sides in Regen will be "extensive and profound", covering all stages from new product development to promotion and marketing.
Xiaoxing Tianxi's eco-friendly fiber material Regen includes several different categories: Regen spandex, Regen nylon, and Regen polyester. The raw materials of these recycled fibers are made from industrial post-recycled waste or discarded fishing nets and plastic PET bottles.
According to Hyosung Tianxi, the first batch of Regen-related products will be released on World Environment Day, June 5th. At that time, the seven brands that have settled in Musinsa will launch fashion items using Regen.
Hyosung Tianxi stated that its fashion design center will hold a seminar for Musinsa sellers in the second half of this year to introduce the full range of eco-friendly fiber materials of Hyosung Tianxi.
Kim Chi-hyung, the CEO of Hyosung Tianxi, said that the company's cooperation with Musinsa, the largest fashion retail platform in South Korea, will consolidate its leading position in the recycled fiber market.
We look forward to seeing more fashion brands using Regen products in Musinsa. I hope the cooperative relationship between the two sides can remain stable and further diversify, so that more Korean fashion brands can decide to replace existing materials with recycled fibers like Regen.
An executive of Musinsa said that the increasing demand for sustainable products and brands in the South Korean fashion market has prompted brand manufacturers to show greater interest in developing their own eco-friendly clothing and other fashion items.
The person in charge said, "Our cooperation with Hyosung Tianxi will provide support for these brands and promote the expansion of the eco-friendly fashion market in South Korea."
